The Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, St. Petersburg, Russia.
This church has quite the name, and quite the history. It’s located on the place where Alexander II was assassinated (actually, he was only wounded there… he died elsewhere).
Alex II was quite a cool dude- he sold Alaska to the US, emancipated the Russian surfs, and he was super well respected in Finland where he made Finnish into the national language.
This photo was taken clearly before I was sick of looking at Russian orthodox churches.
